LEGO 75377 Midi-Scale Invisible Hand officially released!

Yes! Very excited for this LEGO Star Wars set! Awesome to see the prequels getting more attention lately.

*Update – Orders now available on!

After months of speculation and rumors, we now have our hands on official images of the upcoming 75377 Invisible Hand, and it looks spectacular! The set will launch on 1 March 2024 for $49.99 and feature 557 pieces

Take a look at the fantastic box art below. LOVE the addition of the silver/light blue 2024 box artwork we’ve seen on some other sets combined with the familiar all-black 18+ vibe. Fantastic 25th Anniversary logo as well.

For fans who need a reminder, the ‘Invisible Hand’ was the flagship that General Grievous commanded in the Clone Wars when he captured Chancellor Palpatine at the beginning of Episode III, (RIP Count Dooku).

Unfortunately, the ship broke apart as Obi-Wan and Anakin crash-landed it onto Coruscant, but on the bright side, we were rewarded with these classic quotes from Obi-Wan:

The 2024 Invisible Hand will come in the same midi-scale format that 2023’s Executor Super Star Destroyer ( / Amazon) came in, and with the inclusion of 2024’s other two releases of the midi-scale Millennium Falcon and Tantive IV, it’s safe to assume this is the start of a new format and lineup for the 18+ series of LEGO Star Wars.

This Midi-Scale version of the Invisible Hand will be 11.5″ long, and comes with a unique feature where the front half of the ship will be able to separate from the rear. It doesn’t look like it can be displayed like this, but it’s still a fun feature for LEGO to include.

Lego Star Wars 75377 midi-scale Invisible Hand details

The main downside to this set is the lack of minifigures, but this wasn’t really a surprise – just like last year’s Executer Star Destroyer, nothing in the midi-scale series from LEGO Star Wars will include minifigures.

However, if you really want to display General Grievous, you’ll notice that the display stand does have a spot available – if you remove the light gray grate piece on the stand, there’s 2 studs there for placing a figure of your choice. (And potentially room for 2 minifigures if you remove the Anniversary plaque as well).

Awesome detail: check out that green transparent stud to represent the bridge. Cool!

One missed opportunity here that I see though – I was hoping we would see a pair of small red and yellow studs somewhere in the hanger to represent Anakin and Obi-Wan’s Jedi Starfighters docking from the opening scene of Episode III. Am I missing it? Comment below if you’ve spotted something I’m missing.

“This is where the fun begins!”

Launching on March 1st 2024, this ship will cost $49.99, contain 557 pieces, and be displayed on a buildable black display stand with a nameplate. It’ll also including a special 25th Anniversary LEGO Star Wars brick to celebrate LEGO Star Wars turning 25 years old in 2024. It’s going to be an exciting year!

(Is this a no-brainer day one purchase for you? Or too expensive for what it is? Let me know in the comments below!)
